Design was founded in
2003 by David R. Lipovitch, Ph.D (Harvard University, 1999). After various
career changes including scrap metal dealer, engineer, physical chemist, archaeologist, and computer consultant, Dr.
Lipovitch finally decided that the best application of his skills were in the
design of web-pages for small businesses and individuals. He has been
designing for the World Wide Web since 1998. Why A
Small Business Owner Should Care The World Wide Web has changed all of our lives since
its inception. No longer are we limited to getting our ideas or businesses
local exposure – now we can broadcast them easily, effectively, and
inexpensively to the world through the use of personal and business webpages.
It’s time to face reality, every business, every product, and every person
can find a good reason (or many) to have a website and it won’t cost you that
much to get one designed and hosted by WD Web Design. Given the
extremely competitive nature of business today, advertising exposure is one
of the keys to getting potential customers into your establishment. As a
small business owner, you do not want to lose customers to another
establishment simply because they have more visibility. With the potential
for high profits diminishing, a small business owner’s advertising budget has

customer service. Commemorating Important Events The World Wide Web offers a great way to commemorate those
life-changing events that happen to all of us. Birth announcements in local
newspapers are expensive, only run briefly, and are general made up of plain
text without photos. A birth announcement page can be permanent and can
include photos of the new child and their family. An online photo album can
also be created and regularly updated making it easier for distant relatives
and friends to keep up with developments in the child’s life as they unfold. Similarly, memorial pages can be made for a deceased love one. Again,
unlike newspaper obituaries, an online memorial page can be made permanent. In
addition to an obituary, a memorial page can include a commemorative online
photo album and links to charitable organizations or favourite passions of the
deceased or bereaved. Other events that could be commemorated in this manner include bar
